In Government class, we hosted a mock election. This mock election included three political parties, The Republicans, The Democrats, and a third party. I was nominated as the head of the third party. A Fascist party. We called ourselves the Power Party. We only had a couple thousands of dollars (of fake money), less in the comparison to the millions of dollars the Democrats and Republicans. We only had five members in our party, in comparison to the 12 that the other two parties had. We basically got all the votes we could by walking around wearing black sunglasses and ties, and being persistant on people. We blew all the money we had making small simple black and white posters and making this commercial. However, I had won the great debate we had. And I had also won the election. It was the first time in the history of the Mock Elections held at my school that a third party had won. Our video became a hit. Heavily inspired by the movie ‘Fight Club’. It really seemed to fit with our party. Music © Dust Brothers and The Pixies.
